The stage was conceived as a U-shaped structure, defined by a crystalline surface with sharp edges and steep angular transitions. This complex geometry required a precise projection mapping setup to ensure full coverage across all visible planes.
Due to the multiple inclined surfaces, a total of five projectors were used:
a| A frontal projection onto the central element, with selective masking of the projection light to enable controlled interaction between video content and performers.
b| & c| The side elements were each projected from opposing directions at steep angles, minimizing unintended light spill onto the dancers.
d| & e| The remaining surfaces were covered by two additional projectors, ensuring visual continuity across the entire stage|

As a central visual symbol, the snake represented transformation, instinct, and renewal,
serving as a companion on a visionary journey between letting go and beginning again.
The patterned surface of the serpent body establishes a visual reference to Shipibo textile and graphic traditions,
motifs that are frequently associated
with collective visionary reports within Ayahuasca contexts.

The cocoon and butterfly functioned as key visual symbols throughout the production, embodying transformation,
inner dissolution, and the emergence into a new state of being. They marked the transition from a cold,
emotionally disconnected world toward an intimate approach to the divine and the beyond,
framed as a spiritual rebirth.

The cocoon|butterfly, the snake, and the dragon formed a symbolic progression within the visual language of the production.
The cocoon|butterfly represented transformation, rebirth, and emergence| the snake embodied instinct,
renewal, and the shedding of old layers|
and the dragon marked the culmination of the journey as a force of protection, wisdom, and transcendence. Together, these motifs traced a passage from dissolution to integration, shaping a visual narrative of spiritual becoming.

re.show | is a Dance Theater Creation, which was developed and produced on the occasion of 15th anniversary of kontrastmoment GmbH. We combined different disciplines (Dance, light, 3D projection and Fashion Technology).
The choreography and the performance of the dancers draw the audience into the story and take them on an emotional and spiritual journey.
