The hero object was positioned on the foreground gauze | sharply defined in form, materiality, and lighting | while the background on a rear gauze featured fragmented Lidar points, partial transparencies, and repetitive abstractions reduced to simple planes and lights.
This evolved from naturalistic environments into an artificial spatial installation, optimizing dynamic projection mapping for ballet choreography.

explorations |
We explored multiple approaches to visually distill the essence of an 1980s puppet feature film, translating it into contemporary stage design
while balancing naive, naturalistic surrealism with modern aesthetics.

HOlo gauze |
HOLOGAUZE was chosen as the projection screen material. In its unlit state, it remains transparent, while during projection it turns opaque, enabling a layered spatial composition.

Conceptual design for ballet stage projections at the royale opera house |
At kontrastmoment | we shaped the early design exploration phase for a ballet adaptation of a 1980s puppet feature film, defining its visual world and spatial landscape. The content was developed for a
6m-high hologauze wall, layering foreground, midground, and background projections to create dynamic interplay between projected visuals, lighting, and choreography.
role: exploring diverse design worlds within given constraints and creating key visuals accordingly. Tools used: Cinema 4D, After Effects, ZBrush sculpting, LiDAR scans, and particle systems.

HOlo gauze |
als Material für Projectionsleinwand wurde HOloGauze gewählt. Bei nicht bespielung wirkt es transparent und bei Bespielung deckend. so konnte mit den verschiedenen ebenen gespielt werden.
